Class A Sportfishing

These spoons belonged to my friend Capt John McCabe. John passed away some time ago. John's wife gave me some of John's gear including his Northern King Arsenal. Spent the night cleaning up some spoons and getting them ready for repaint and repurpose. I promised his wife I wouldn't sell any of his stuff, so back into rotation these bad boys are going.
There is something about using the old lures I love.

Class A Sportfishing

Spent last week on vacation from the land gig to prepare for the Monroe County Offshore Classic fishing tournament. Fished everyday either with customers or friends of mine...
Monday and Tuesday were relatively slow. Plenty of marks, but they weren't actively chewing. By Wend we found an ok bite, but, nothing I was comfortable hanging my hat on. Thursday was excellent out in,a little deeper water. Friday and Saturday came and it was on! The fishing is off the charts this year....tight lines folks
